Is this the beginning of the end for The Annex?

The former Honest Ed’s sight is currently being redeveloped into Mirvish Village. Mirvish Village will have 5 towers ranging from 29 floors to 15 floors. Mirvish Village will cover an area from Bloor street south to Lennox street, Bathurst street west to Markham street. Will this be the wrecking ball for The Annex as we know it? Only time will tell but there are many buildings along Bloor Street that are prime for redevelopment and this is casting doubt on the existence of The Annex as we know it today.
